If You're Looking For A Joke You Came To The Wrong Post

Let's just get this out of the way. I'm a Bruins fan. I have been a Bruins fan since December of 1983. I've been with them during the bad seasons, the cup losses. and I've been there during their best seasons, and their cup win. I cant quite put my finger on the team this year, they definitely have the potential to go as far as they want to, but some games, I just cant believe what i am watching, and the poor effort they seem to give at times. But there is one member of the Bruins who always gives an all-star effort, maybe even hall of fame effort, every single night of the year. That person, is none other then the Boston Bruins in game reporter Naoko Funayama. Ever since 2008 when she first joined the club to host "the buzz" after Hazel Mae left, she never lets me, or the rest of the fans down. This next sentence will probably be the most heartfelt sentence ever to grace the pages of this blog and i truly and honestly mean it from the bottom of my heart. Nobody, and I mean nobody, loves their job more, and does a better job at it, than Naoko Funayama.
No matter how the Bruins play, good or bad, no matter if its game 1, 82, or a Stanley Cup final, she has a smile on her face. She knows the game of hockey. She's not going to ask some bullshit question. She brings the A+ game every single night. I dont think she's had a day off in 4 and a half years either, and i am convinced she lives somewhere in the Boston Garden, only leaving to board the team plane to the next destination. I believe if the Bruins want to be the most succesful team they can be, they need to let her on the ice and run a few practices on beliving in yourself, and never getting cocky knowing you have the potential to be the best. Sure the Boston Bruins can have some hot playboy type model with no brain whatsoever out there strutting her stuff but people like me, the real fans of the Bruins, dont need that crap,or want that crap. I swear when she retires, they should hang up her microphone from the rafters. And dont just tuck it in between some numbers, she gets an outside spot, either next to Eddie Shores #2 or Bourques #77. A true professional at every level of the game, heres to you Naoko Funayama and thank you for just being you.

After going over this article a second time, I'm literally contemplating starting one of those kickstarter sites for her. I want to send her on vacation anywhere in the world, anywhere she wants to go. She deserves it.
